剧情

新科状元陈世美文才人品均获太后赏识将之招为驸马，朝野同庆。村妇秦香莲带着一对儿女春哥、冬妹却千里迢迢来到京城寻夫，原来她竟是陈世美的妻小。陈世美当然不认，将母子三人逐出府去，秦香莲得展昭之助来到包拯台前具状申告。包拯心知驸马弃妻再娶犯下了欺君之罪，又怜惜香莲母子孤苦无依，有心规劝陈世美认妻安顿。陈世美为绝后患竟派出手下韩琪意图杀妻灭子，展昭及时出手搭救，韩琪仗义自刎留下驸马府钢刀为凭尽诉驸马恶行。包拯大怒设计驸马来到开封问罪，陈世美自恃有太后公主撑腰，而太后公主也适时来到开封府要人。包拯两难之际，秦香莲悲叹世间无青天，包拯汗颜羞愤之下，不惜自摘顶上乌纱硬将驸马立斩龙头铡下·····
